Metz Banking Company is an independently owned bank that opened in Metz, Missouri, back in 1906 and is now headquartered in Nevada, Missouri, with branches in both cities.
Metz Banking Company offers checking and savings accounts to both personal and business customers.
Personal account options
There are two personal checking account options at Metz. The first is a standard account that requires a $25 initial deposit and a minimum balance of $200. The second account is a super NOW checking account, an interest-bearing account that requires a minimum opening deposit and ongoing balance of $1,000.
Metz also provides two personal savings account options. As with checking, the regular savings account opens with $25 but in this case the ongoing minimum balance is only $100. The other personal savings account available is a money market account. This is a high interest rate savings account that requires an opening and ongoing balance of $1,000.
Another savings option for personal savings customers is a certificate of deposit (CD). Metz has six different CDs ranging in term length from 6 months to 5 years. Required deposit amount is between $1,000 and $2,000.
Business account choices
Metz offers a business checking account, business savings account and business money market account. The bank also offers a super NOW business savings account for certain types of customers such as non-profit businesses.
Banking services
This bank offers online banking with bill pay and electronic funds transfer between accounts. Debit cards are available for qualifying customers.
Metz Banking Company offers consumer, commercial and real estate loans through their branch locations.
Deposit insurance
Metz Banking Company is a member bank of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The temporary increase in FDIC coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor was made permanent in July 2010. All eligible deposits are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per depositor. Joint accounts are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per account holder.
