Kirkpatrick Bank Review

Kirkpatrick Bank was originally chartered as American Bank and Trust in 1970, but was acquired by the Kirkpatrick family in 1988 and renamed in 2004.

Headquartered in Edmond, Oklahoma and with branches in Oklahoma City and Colorado Springs, Kirkpatrick Bank is a full-service banking institution that offers an extensive array of money management options for its personal and business banking customers. It listed assets of $454 million in 2009.

Personal banking

Personal banking customers at Kirkpatrick Bank can choose from a Renaissance, Interest or Free checking account depending upon whether they want to maintain a minimum balance, earn interest or pay a monthly fee. All three accounts have options for seniors.

The bank offers Statement, Health, Minor, Money Market and Money Market Plus savings accounts to its personal clients depending upon their individual circumstances and financial goals. In 2007 the bank launched Savings Square which is a strictly web-based savings account available to customers in all 50 states.

Business banking

Kirkpatrick Bank offers a selection of checking and savings accounts to its commercial customers based upon their size and financial structure. Checking account options include Commercial, Free Commercial and Commercial Interest Checking. Business clients can also choose from Statement or Money Market Savings depending upon their individual deposit needs. To assist clients in better managing their cash, Kirkpatrick Bank provides treasury management services which include remote deposit capture and direct deposit of payroll.

Loans

For residents of Oklahoma and Colorado, Kirkpatrick Bank offers a wide range of personal credit products at competitive rates. These include loans for home improvement, boats, autos and RVs. For its business customers, the bank offers loans tailored to the needs of the particular business.

Deposit insurance

Kirkpatrick Bank is a member bank of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The temporary increase in FDIC coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor was made permanent in July 2010. All eligible deposits are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per depositor. Joint accounts are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per account holder.
