G.W. Jones Exchange Bank has four locations in Michigan. It is the only locally owned and operated bank in Cass County. It was established in 1877 with $40,000 and now has $56 million in assets as of 2010.

Checking account options

The core products of G.W. Jones Exchange Bank are its checking accounts. This bank offers a regular checking account with direct deposit and bill pay options. It offers an interest earning checking account with a bill pay option. Other personal checking account choices are the Super NOW account and the money market account, which each have a $2,500 minimum balance. This bank also offers two different business checking accounts.

Deposit insurance

G.W. Jones Exchange Bank is a member bank of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The temporary increase in FDIC coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor was made permanent in July 2010. All eligible deposits are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per depositor. Joint accounts are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per account holder.
