First National Community Bank Review
First National Community Bank was established as a National Banking Association in 1910. One hundred years later, the bank has various offices throughout Pennsylvania and provides products and services in personal banking, small business banking and commercial banking.
The bank offers high interest online savings banking throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland. Along with a variety of deposit accounts, the bank offers home mortgages, home equity lines of credit, credit cards and wealth management services.
Personal banking
First National Community Bank offers a variety of personal savings and checking account choices as well as CD, IRA, and HSA options. Maximum Earnings Savings is a high interest savings account. This account pays a premium interest rate, earns interest with a minimum account balance, generates a monthly electronic statement and allows unlimited deposits including online transfers into the account (fees apply).
Small business banking
Business customers can choose between a variety of checking account options. The Small Business Checking Account offers free online and bill payment with no monthly maintenance fee or minimum balance. Business debit card and free overdraft protection are also available with this account.
Activity on the account is free of charge if customers meet certain requirements. Term loans, time loans, lines of credit, merchant services and business resources are available.
Commercial banking
First National Community Bank provides commercial business accounts. Centennial Money Market is a tiered rate structure interest bearing account that provides check writing capabilities and the liquidity of a checking account with competitive interest rates for both business and personal account holders. The bank also offers a range of CD terms for businesses.
Deposit insurance
First National Community Bank is a member bank of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The temporary increase in FDIC coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor was made permanent in July 2010. All eligible deposits are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per depositor. Joint accounts are FDIC-insured up to at least $250,000 per account holder.
