First Midwest Bank review
First Midwest Bank began its life as Union National Bank and Trust Company of Joliet immediately following the financial devastation of The Great Depression. It was renamed First Midwest Bank in the 1980s. It now has over five dozen branch offices throughout Illinois, Indiana and Iowa as of 2010. It is headquartered in Itasca, Illinois just west of Chicago O'Hare Airport.

For example, customers can choose between a free no-interest checking account and a low-fee interest-earning checking account. Other spending solutions include debit, credit and gift cards, overdraft protection and discounted online shopping.
- Saving: This bank offers two savings account options. One is a statement savings account and the other is a high interest savings account. Other products include a CD, money market account, IRA, health savings account, investment account and electronic transfer account.
- Borrowing: First Midwest Bank offers mortgages, reverse mortgages, home equity loans and lines of credit, auto loans and specialty loans.
- Planning: This bank offers investment and insurance information, financial planning advice and integrated long-term banking solutions.
