Amegy Bank of Texas is proud of the fact that it's a true Texas bank. Headquartered in Houston, Amegy Bank of Texas has over 80 different branch locations throughout the state as of 2010. It was established in the late twentieth century as the Northwest Crossing National Bank. After a series of name changes, mergers and acquisitions, the bank became known by its current name. In 2005, it became the largest bank in Texas.
